"BAD PENGUIN" - FOR MATURE 2D EYES ONLY!

Hands up all those who want to see a really mature, well made, 2D-animated film again! Well, here's a chance to more than show your hands. Check out this exciting new initiative - "Bad Penguin " - by the Animaticus Foundation.

If successful here we'll eventually make this entire movie in our spare time - however long it may take us! And in keeping with the mission of the Animaticus Foundation, we'll also break new creative ground for traditional hand-drawn animation too - giving our students of the past, present and future the chance to be part of something really special. (And how valuable is genuine 'industry experience' to a graduate student these days I wonder?)

So hands up all those who want to help make this happen? (Maybe wave a few dollars at us at the same time!) Most importantly of all - please spread the word about it, so that everyone knows.

Ask yourself - isn't it about time that a great, independently-minded, 2D animated film for intelligent audiences was made again! (And any donation you make will be tax-deductable by the way - the Animaticus Foundation is a 501(c)3 company!)

Thanks for your support, one and all!

Sounds like you are picking up where Ralph Bakshi left off! :-)

Not really. The story is not as crude as "Fritz the Cat" or anything like that - and we most definitely will be making it to much higher Pixar or Disney level production standards. (Albeit over a much longer period of production time - as it will be done entirely in everyone's free time outside of their main jobs.) I think these are the major differences. The film is most definitely not for little kids however, although I do believe it will be very appealing to mature teenagers and adults of all ages. Most of all I think it will be seen as a most refreshing and original 'work of art' in 2D animation terms!
