SLOW POST FROM CHINA!
The logo for the 'World Expo' event in Shanghai was everywhere - in this case, the Beijing airport!
I'm afraid its taken a while for me to post images of my lecture trip to China earlier but I've been so busy working on tutorials and other things that this has had to be put onto the backburner I'm afraid. China was a wonderful revelation and experience - an exciting hybrid of the ancient past and the rapidly growing present. An unforgettable experience!
But first, the business side - 5 major lectures in 5 days!
The poster for the lecture events!
Part of the 300-strong audiences that attended each of my lectures!
Our fantastic translator throughout the event - Gavin Liu (and friend)!
Trying to look inconspicuous at a local 'Cosplay' event!

Lectures over - relaxing at the 'Forbidden City' in Beijing!
China - a wonderful place where the 'new' rapidly emerges from the 'old'!
Conclusion: I had never been to China before but this will most certainly not be the last time I go there. I barely scratched the surface of this magical and ancient culture, even in the limited number of locations I visited. This country is a huge amalgam of varying facets of culture within a greater whole ~ offering a veritable lifetime of exploration and discovery. I thank all the wonderful people I met in China and the amazing range of possibilities this trip opened up for me!
