The Foundation hosts the annual “2D OR NOT 2D Animation Festival, which takes place in Everett, WA every November. The Foundation presents competitive “Golden Pencil” awards to a number of categories of animation and animated film at the festival, in addition to honoring a respected contributor to the medium by presenting the non-competitive “Roy E. Disney Award” at the conclusion of the event. The Foundation also attempts to bring together talented student graduates and seasoned professional animators through the production of innovative, ground-breaking projects. The first production was the film, “FIRE GODS”, completed in early 2007 for the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA. Animus Productions/Entertainments: (20 years - till 2000), Founder/Owner, Director, Head Design/Animation. Awards won for: "Hokusai" (British Academy Award), PBS Special "Cathedral" (Blue Ribbon Award) (also directed/animated companion PBS film; "Pyramid"), "Ink Thief" Utilizing live action, CGI Graphics, 2D/3D animation, 1994 New York Film and Television Award Honored Finalist, "A Seafarer's Tale" 1999 New York Film and Television Award, various other awards including: Clio, Los Angeles Advertising Award, Chicago Animation Festival, etc. Richard Williams Animation Limited: 7 years, Personal Assistant to Richard Williams on "A Christmas Carol" (Academy Award) and Director, Designer, Animator of numerous projects. Awards won for "Pink Panther Strikes Again" (Design & Art Directors Award) and a variety of advertising awards. Halas and Batchelor: 5 years, Head of Design, Commercials, Short Films "Jackson Five" TV Series, "Tomfoolery." Awards for "Quartet" (wrote and directed), "A Short Tall Story" (wrote and directed).
